Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Real Madrid defeated Barcelona 2-1 away from home in the 10th round of the Spanish La Liga.
The match took place at Camp Nou in Barcelona. Kylian Mbappé scored both goals for the visitors, finding the net in the 41st and 87th minutes. Raphinha scored Barcelona’s only goal in the 61st minute.
Mbappé’s second goal was his 100th for Real Madrid. The French forward reached the milestone after joining the Madrid club in the summer of 2024, becoming the 24th player in the team’s history to score at least 100 goals.
Real Madrid’s first-choice goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois, missed the match due to flu.
The defeat ended Barcelona’s winning run after the Catalan side had won their first nine league matches of the season. Barcelona failed to surpass Real Madrid’s achievement of nine consecutive victories at the start of the 1968/69 season.
Despite the loss, Barcelona remain top of the standings with 27 points. Real Madrid have 24 points and sit third.
In the next round, Barcelona will host Alavés on 31 October, while Real Madrid will visit Racing Santander the following day.
