29 Children Born to Fathers Aged 70 and Over in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan recorded 373,389 live births between January and June 2026, with 29 of the children born to fathers aged 70 and older at the time of birth, the National Statistics Committee said.

Men aged 25 to 39 accounted for the largest share of live births during the six-month period, fathering 309,182 children.

Fathers under the age of 25 accounted for 34,526 live births, while men aged 40 to 59 fathered 29,403 children.

Men aged 60 and older fathered 278 children in total, including the 29 born to men aged 70 and over.
