Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The individual competitions of the Asian Judo Championships concluded in the Chinese city of Ordos, where Uzbekistan’s representatives won one gold and four bronze medals.

The standout result was achieved by Alisher Yusupov in the over-100 kg category, as he climbed to the top of the podium to become Asian champion.

Bronze medals for Uzbekistan were won by Ernazar Sarsenbayev (under 100 kg), Muzaffarbek Turaboev (over 100 kg), Barchinoy Kodirova (under 78 kg), and Umida Nigmatova (over 78 kg).

According to overall results of the individual program, Uzbek judokas finished the tournament with a total of one gold, three silver, and six bronze medals. It is also noted that on the final day of individual competition, the team added four bronze medals to its tally.

Medals in the mixed team events are set to be contested on the final day of the championships.
