Wind Power Project in Ferghana Discussed by China’s Ecopioneer
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting in Ferghana between regional authorities and Chinese company Ecopioneer Storage HK Science & Technology Limited focused on prospects for expanding cooperation and implementing joint investment projects, according to official reports.
The discussion was held between Ferghana regional governor Khairullo Bozorov and Ecopioneer Storage HK Science & Technology Limited head Ming Junqiang.
Participants noted that strategic partnership relations between Uzbekistan and China have been developing in recent years on the basis of political will at the highest level in both countries, creating additional opportunities for expanding investment cooperation.
It was also emphasized that Uzbekistan’s favorable investment climate is generating growing interest among foreign companies. Officials highlighted a steady increase in the number of Chinese investors operating in Ferghana region, reflecting consistent year-on-year growth.
The main focus of the talks was a proposed wind power plant project put forward by the company. The sides exchanged views on its implementation as well as potential parameters of cooperation in renewable energy and energy storage technologies.
The regional governor stated readiness to provide comprehensive support for promising initiatives and stressed the importance of the company’s expertise in modern energy technologies for the successful implementation of the project.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed on further steps for cooperation and signed a memorandum of cooperation, formalizing intentions to develop joint projects in the energy sector.
