Vohid Rakhimov appointed as Samarkand governor

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Governor of Samarkand region Himmat Okbutaev signed a decree on appointing a new hokim Samarkand on 3 February 2017.

According to the decree, Vohid Rakhimov was appointed as new khokim (governor) of Samarkand city. Prior to this appointment, he worked as the governor of Pastdargom district of Samarkand region.

At the post of hokim of Samarkand city, Vohid Rahimov succeeded Akbar Shukurov, who moved on to another job.
