Uzbekneftegaz Plans to Raise Daily Gas Output by 3.9m m³

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekneftegaz plans to increase daily natural gas production by 3.9 million cubic metres through the launch of new wells before the end of the nine-month period, while a further 460,000 cubic metres per day is expected from the overhaul of 16 wells. The instructions were issued by Uzbekneftegaz Chairman of the Management Board Abdugani Sanginov, the company's press service said.

An expanded management meeting at the company focused on expected production and economic indicators for the first nine months, existing risks and tasks to be completed by the end of the year.

At the time of the meeting, 24 days remained before the end of the nine-month period. Company management was therefore instructed to focus on meeting plans in each area, identify the specific causes of existing shortcomings and take the necessary measures within a short timeframe.

"Today, a specific question must be raised for each area: what did we plan, what have we achieved, what remains unfinished, what still needs to be done in the short time remaining and what result must we achieve?" Sanginov said.

The meeting separately reviewed the natural gas production plan. Management was instructed to mobilise additional opportunities to meet the established targets, stabilise production rates compared with the same period last year and ensure the effective use of available reserves.

This requires strengthening analysis of the situation at each field, well and facility, organising targeted work and accelerating practical measures to meet the annual plan.

The meeting also reviewed wells scheduled for commissioning in August. At the same time, a task was set to complete the launch of wells included in the September plan before the end of the nine-month period. This is expected to increase daily production by 3.9 million cubic metres.

An additional increase of 460,000 cubic metres per day is to be achieved through the overhaul of 16 wells.

In the processing sector, participants analysed production of gas condensate, sulphur and liquefied gas. Enterprises within the system were tasked with bringing annual production of these products to 120% of the established plan.

The meeting also addressed the supply of raw materials to enterprises processing petroleum products.

Other areas discussed included preventing emergency shutdowns, preparations for the autumn-winter period, the condition of vehicles, digitalisation, localisation of production and the implementation of investment projects.

In particular, those responsible were instructed to fully prepare booster compressor stations for operation by 1 October.

Discussing digitalisation, Sanginov stressed that the practical effectiveness of the solutions being introduced should remain the main criterion.

"We must see digitalisation not in presentations and reports, but in production efficiency," the chairman of the management board said.

The meeting set final deadlines for implementing the E-Kon, Drilling Centre, ERP and BI systems, as well as completing digitalisation at oil depots.

At the same time, the company has already begun preparations for 2027. Tasks include accelerating the development of a geological exploration programme, geological and technical measures, the production and output balance, a targeted construction programme, an investment programme and a procurement portfolio.

"We have 24 days to bring the nine-month period to a positive conclusion. Twenty-four days is a short time. But if work is properly organised across all areas and daily monitoring is ensured, results can be achieved. Each manager is personally responsible for the final result in their area," Sanginov said.

The meeting identified ensuring that established targets are met under enhanced monitoring, eliminating delays and increasing the company's financial and production efficiency as its main tasks.
