Uzbekistan's Labor Code to include workplace violence protection measures

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis has reviewed a draft law proposing amendments to Uzbekistan’s Labor Code during its first reading.

The draft introduces measures aimed at prohibiting and preventing harassment and violence in the workplace. It also includes provisions for additional paid leave for victims of workplace harassment and violence, as well as for men in connection with the birth of a child.

The bill was approved in its first reading.
