Uzbekistan’s foreign trade grows by 5% in 1H

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover reached US$10.497 billion in January-June 2009 or grew by 5% year-on-year, the Uzbek State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

The country exported products and services for US$6.034 billion soums in the reporting period and imports comprised US$4.462 billion soums.

Current account balance surplus made up US$1.571 billion in the first six months of 2009, including US$115.9 million with the CIS states and US$1.455 billion with foreign countries.
