Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov visited Batumi Sea Port with his counterparts on 23 October, according to the Uzbek foreign minister.

The port plays an important role in trade and transport links between Central Asia, the Caucasus and Europe.

Saidov said that developing transport corridors and expanding economic cooperation would help strengthen the partnership between Uzbekistan and Georgia.

He thanked Georgia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili and Zurab Pataradze, head of the government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, for organising the events and hosting the delegation.
