Uzbekistan Wins Mixed Team Bronze at Cadet World Judo Championships

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Uzbek national cadet judo team secured a bronze medal in the mixed team competition at the Cadet World Judo Championships in Guayaquil, defeating France 4-1, according to the Uzbekistan Judo Federation.

On the final day of the championship, which featured 12 of the world's top teams in the team event, Uzbekistan decisively beat the French squad to claim third place.

With the addition of the team bronze, Uzbekistan completed the World Championships with seven total medals. In the individual events, athletes under the leadership of head coach Aurelio Ciprian-Flis won one gold, one silver, and four bronze medals, placing Uzbekistan among the top three countries in the overall medal standings out of 60 participating nations.

Iroda Sirozhiddinova claimed the gold medal in the under-40 kg weight category, while Dzhurabek Eshpulatov won silver in the under-90 kg category. Bronze medals were awarded to Bobur Yusupov in the under-55 kg category, Bekhruzbek Usmonov in the under-73 kg category, Alina Kolyucheva in the under-44 kg category, and Charos Hikmatova in the under-48 kg category.

In total, the Uzbek cadet national team concluded the global tournament with seven awards, comprising one gold, one silver, and five bronze medals, including the mixed team bronze.
