Uzbekistan U-23 beats Jordan in friendly match

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uzbekistan U-23 clinched a 2-1 victory over Jordan in the friendly match in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Uzbekistan Football Federation said.

Igor Sergeev recorded a brace, scoring on 64 and 78 minutes of the game.

Uzbekistan is holding preparations to the AFC U-23 Championship in Qatar, which starts in January 2016.

Uzbekistan will kick off tournament with the match against South Korea on 13 January. Uzbekistan will face Iraq on 16 January and Yemen on 19 January.
