Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Olimjon Abdullaev met with Albertas Sitavicius, director of Lithuanian international transport company TVG Group, on 10 September.

The talks were held as part of efforts to expand the geography of organised labour migration and diversify its destinations.

The sides discussed opportunities to expand organised employment of Uzbek citizens in Lithuania. Particular attention was paid to training qualified heavy truck drivers.

The participants also considered joint measures aimed at preventing illegal migration.

Following the talks, the sides expressed interest in further developing mutually beneficial cooperation and continuing practical engagement in the agreed areas.
