Uzbekistan to spend US$50bn to industrialization

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ministry of Economy of Uzbekistan is working on developing mid-term programme on development of industry for 2015-2020, Jahon news agency reported.

Implementation of the programme will allow to increase share of the sector in the GF from 24.2% in 2013 to 35%.

Currently, the Government of Uzbekistan implements similar programme, designed for 2011-2015, with total cost of US$30.1 billion.

According to some estimates, newly developed programme on boosting industry till 2021 can include projects for US$50 billion.
