Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Operation of vehicles that do not meet Euro-5 and higher standards will be gradually limited in the cities of Tashkent, Nukus and regional centers until 2030.

This is stipulated by the decree of the President of Uzbekistan “On the state program for the implementation of the strategy “Uzbekistan-2030” in the “Year of Support for Youth and Business”.

The Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Transport will be responsible for the implementation of this initiative.

This decisions is aimed at improving the environmental situation in the country.
