Uzbekistan to Open Embassy in Georgia

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan will open its embassy in Georgia. The decision to establish the diplomatic mission was made following negotiations between President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze.

The talks took place in Tbilisi in both narrow and expanded formats with the participation of official delegations from the two countries within the framework of the state visit of the head of Uzbekistan to Georgia.

According to the press service of the President of Uzbekistan, the establishment of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Georgia was one of the practical outcomes of the meeting aimed at further developing bilateral cooperation.
