Uzbekistan Textile Output Rises 15.4% in January-May
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Large enterprises in Uzbekistan produced textile goods worth 43.4 trillion soums in January–May 2026, according to the National Statistics Committee.
The agency said output increased by 15.4% compared with the same period of 2025.
The Ferghana Region recorded the highest textile output during the reporting period, producing goods worth 5.4 trillion soums.
It was followed by Andijan Region with 4.3 trillion soums, Kashkadarya Region with 4.2 trillion soums, Khorezm Region with 3.9 trillion soums and Bukhara Region with 3.7 trillion soums.
Textile production totaled 3.6 trillion soums in Namangan Region, 3.4 trillion soums in Samarkand Region and 2.9 trillion soums in Surkhandarya Region. Output reached 2.8 trillion soums in the city of Tashkent and 2.6 trillion soums in Tashkent Region.
Enterprises in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Jizzakh Region each produced textile goods worth 2.2 trillion soums.
Output amounted to 1.2 trillion soums in Syrdarya Region and 1 trillion soums in Navoi Region.
