Mirziyoyev, Vucic Discuss Uzbekistan-Serbia Relations

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, during which the two leaders discussed the further development of bilateral relations.

At the beginning of the conversation, Vučić congratulated Mirziyoyev on his birthday, wishing him good health, well-being and continued success in his public duties, as well as peace and prosperity for the people of Uzbekistan.

The two leaders reviewed issues related to strengthening multifaceted cooperation between the two countries and discussed the implementation of agreements reached following the Serbian president's visit to Uzbekistan in October last year.

Particular attention was paid to expanding cooperation in trade and the economy, investment, infrastructure, culture and humanitarian exchanges, as well as tourism and organised labour migration.

The leaders also discussed the schedule of upcoming joint events, including the first meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and the participation of the Uzbek delegation in EXPO 2027 in Belgrade.
