Uzbekistan Studies Electrical Equipment Market in Herat

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from Uzbekistan conducted a series of activities in Herat, Afghanistan, on 13–14 April 2026 aimed at expanding the export presence of Uzbek electrical engineering products.

The program included market research, B2B meetings and bilateral trade negotiations focused on assessing local market demand and identifying potential supply opportunities.

The main focus of the visit was the analysis of demand for electrical equipment in Afghanistan and the identification of promising export directions for Uzbek producers. Representatives of the Electrical Industry Association Uzelteltksanoat Association visited major trade complexes and specialized markets in Herat, where they held direct discussions with local importers, distributors and entrepreneurs.

During the meetings, participants conducted a detailed assessment of market conditions, including supply and demand balance, price levels and product segments with existing shortages. Specific niches with insufficient supply were also identified as potential targets for future exports.

The sides discussed proposals to expand exports of Uzbek electrical products, develop sustainable trade chains with Afghan partners, and supply competitively priced goods. They also considered practical mechanisms for strengthening long-term business cooperation and enhancing trade ties between the two countries’ business communities.
