Uzbekistan Senate Discusses Agricultural Ties with Mongolia
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held on 8 May at the Senate of the Oliy Majlis between the chair of the Committee on Agricultural, Water Management and Environmental Issues and a delegation of the State Great Khural of Mongolia led by Sukhbaatar Erdenebat, head of the “Mongolia–Uzbekistan” interparliamentary group.
The sides discussed the development of interparliamentary cooperation and the expansion of practical ties between the two countries. Key attention was given to cooperation in agriculture and environmental protection, as well as the implementation of joint projects.
During the talks, both sides noted that relations between Uzbekistan and Mongolia are based on long-standing friendly ties and are developing within the framework of trade-economic and humanitarian cooperation.
The meeting also reviewed measures to improve the effectiveness of interparliamentary friendship groups. The parties exchanged views on modern approaches to agriculture, the development of food systems, and expanding experience-sharing between relevant institutions of the two countries.
