Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Following a hot week, a slight decrease in temperature is expected in Uzbekistan. On 16–17 August 2026, conditions will become cooler in the northern regions of the country, and on 17 August 2026, the relief from the heat will spread to other regions, according to climatologist Erkin Abdulakhatov.

According to him, cool air from the northwest will begin entering Uzbekistan on Sunday and Monday. Residents of Karakalpakstan and the Khorezm region will be the first to feel its impact.

On 16–17 August 2026, temperatures in the northern regions will range from 30 to 35 degrees Celsius. From 17 August 2026, a temperature drop is also expected in other regions of the republic.

In remaining regions, temperatures will be 2 to 3 degrees lower than the levels recorded during the current week.

However, no sharp cold spell is projected across the entire territory of Uzbekistan. The most noticeable temperature change is expected specifically in the country's northern regions.
