Uzbekistan, Russia Discuss Strategic Partnership Ties
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 17 April, a meeting was held in Moscow between Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
The sides focused on the practical implementation of agreements reached at the highest level, aimed at further strengthening the strategic partnership and alliance between the two countries.
They noted the high intensity of bilateral contacts across key areas, highlighting steady growth in trade turnover, the implementation of major industrial cooperation projects, and the expansion of cultural and humanitarian ties.
Particular attention was given to cooperation in education, innovation, infrastructure, and interregional relations.
The ministers also discussed measures to stimulate mutual investment and enhance business engagement between Uzbekistan and Russia.
In addition, the sides exchanged views on current regional and international issues.
Following the meeting, both foreign ministries reaffirmed their commitment to further promoting mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
