Uzbekistan, Russia Discuss Expanding Healthcare Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Representatives of Uzbekistan and Russia met at the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation for talks attended by Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko, as well as heads and specialists from medical, scientific and educational institutions of both countries.
The discussions included an expert session on improving healthcare delivery, digitalizing the healthcare system, developing telemedicine, remote patient monitoring and training medical personnel.
The sides also discussed prospects for cooperation in oncology, radiology, nuclear medicine, hematology, emergency medical care, medical rehabilitation and palliative care.
During the visit, the Uzbek delegation reviewed the work of the Federal Mandatory Medical Insurance Fund, the Federal Center for Disaster Medicine, the Central Clinical Hospital with Polyclinic of the Administrative Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation, and the Barvikha Clinical Sanatorium.
The Russian side presented modern approaches to the operation of leading federal specialized medical centers, including the A.F. Tsyb Medical Radiological Research Center, the N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Center of Oncology, the National Medical Research Center for Hematology, and the Dmitry Rogachev National Medical Research Center of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Immunology.
