Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — JSC "Uzbekistan Railways" and China Energy International Group Samarkand Cement held negotiations focused on the development of railway transportation. Key specialists from both sides, including logistics experts, took part in the discussions.

The primary topic of the meeting was the current state and future prospects of cement transportation by rail. Participants reviewed the results of operations in 2024 and outlined strategic goals for 2025.

According to the presented data, in 2024, China Energy International Group Samarkand Cement utilized 734 covered wagons, 30 hoppers, and 1,227 standard wagons to deliver its products to both the domestic market and for export. In 2025, the company plans to increase exports to 3,500 covered wagons (equivalent to 250,000 tons) and supply 2,000 covered wagons for the domestic market. Additionally, the production and distribution of approximately 900,000 tons of cement products are planned.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed pressing issues related to railway transportation and possible solutions.

Special attention was given to establishing stable logistics chains to enhance competitiveness in the Afghan market and strengthen the position of Uzbek cement.

Both companies expressed their commitment to strengthening cooperation to ensure stable and competitive deliveries of domestic products to key markets.
