Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbek Ambassador Oybek Shakhavdinov held meetings in the Slovenian capital with representatives of leading Slovenian companies and organizations to discuss expanding trade, economic, investment and technological cooperation, the Dunyo News Agency reported.

The talks focused on opportunities to implement joint projects in priority sectors of the economy. Particular attention was given to cooperation in pharmaceuticals, energy, transport, digital technologies, engineering, waste processing, aviation, education and consulting.

Representatives of Slovenian businesses expressed interest in establishing joint ventures in Uzbekistan, localizing production and making direct investments.

The meetings concluded with agreements to further advance joint investment projects.

The two sides also agreed to organize visits by representatives of Slovenian companies to Uzbekistan, hold talks with relevant ministries and government agencies, and identify local partners for implementing joint initiatives.
