Uzbekistan offers India to create defense production complex

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uzbekistan offered India to place on its territory a defense production complex, The Economic Times reported.

The edition reported that the deployment of a defense complex in Uzbekistan will allow India to enter the markets of Central Asia.

Now Uzbekistan and India are discussing this proposal. At the same time, India intends to supply defense equipment to Uzbekistan.

The edition wrote that the State Minister for Foreign Affairs of India Mobashar Javed Akbar discussed issues of cooperation in the field of defense with the leadership of Uzbekistan. The parties also intend to cooperate in training the military.

The Economic Times emphasized that the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit India in autumn. The countries plan to raise bilateral relations to strategic one.
