Uzbekistan and NeoHospital discuss modern clinic project

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Director of the Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry, Abdulla Azizov, held a meeting with the Chief Executive Officer of the Indian clinic network NeoHospital, Dr. Sabohuddin Siddiqui.

The parties discussed the implementation of a project to establish a modern multidisciplinary hospital in Uzbekistan based on a public-private partnership mechanism.

During the negotiations, the sides reviewed the involvement of highly qualified specialists from India, the organization of high-tech medical care in the fields of liver and kidney transplantation, oncology, cardiology, and neurosurgery, as well as the provision of modern equipment for the future medical facility.

In addition, the meeting participants discussed the development of medical infrastructure and the expansion of medical tourism opportunities.

Representatives of the agency also presented the investment opportunities created in Uzbekistan to the Indian side, including the BioPharma City pharmaceutical cluster project and public-private partnership mechanisms through Health Invest.

The parties paid special attention to the prospects of organizing joint pharmaceutical production, technology transfer, and localized manufacturing of medicines in Uzbekistan.
