Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan has established a mechanism for providing financial assistance to citizens affected by man-made emergencies.
The amount of one-off compensation will depend on the consequences of the incident. Families of those killed may receive up to 220 million soums, while payments to injured victims will amount to up to 88 million soums.

A commission will decide on the amount of financial assistance, coordinating its decisions with territorial departments of the economic and financial authorities.

The eligible recipients are the deceased person's spouse, children, parents and dependants. The allocated amount will be divided equally among them.
Citizens who sustain serious injuries are eligible for assistance of up to 200 BEVs (88 million soums). The maximum payment for moderate injuries is 150 BEVs (66 million soums), while those with minor injuries may receive up to 100 BEVs (44 million soums).
