Uzbekistan Metro Carries 76.6 Million Passengers

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s metro system carried 76.6 million passengers in January–March 2026, according to data released by the National Statistics Committee.

The figure reflects continued growth in demand for underground public transport in the country.

Compared with the same period in 2025, passenger traffic increased by 9.1%, indicating the further expansion of metro usage as one of the country’s key forms of urban transportation.
