Uzbekistan may joint TurkPA

Uzbekistan is considering issue on joining to Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-Speaking Countries (TurkPA), Jandos Asanov, TURKPA Secretary General, said.
Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-Speaking Countries is expecting imminent membership of the representatives of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan to the Assembly, he said.
Interfax-Kazakhstan reported quoting Jandos Asanov that TurkPA is open for all Turkic-speaking countries and he believed that soon Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan will join TurkPA and other structures of Turkish cooperation.
He said that Tashkent and Ashgabat are considering such opportunity.
Currently, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey are members of TurkPA.
