Bank deposits in Uzbekistan exceed 460 trillion soums
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The total volume of deposits in commercial banks in Uzbekistan reached 460.6 trillion soums as of 1 June 2026, according to reports from the Central Bank.
Banks with state ownership hold 239.5 trillion soums, or 52 percent of the deposits in the sector. The remaining commercial banks account for 221.1 trillion soums, or 48 percent. In terms of this indicator, private banks have nearly caught up with state-owned financial institutions.
The National Bank of Uzbekistan attracted the largest volume of deposits, totaling 55.3 trillion soums, which equates to 12 percent of the aggregate national figure. Kapital Bank ranks second with 46.2 trillion soums (10 percent), achieving the top result among financial institutions without government participation.
The top positions are followed by Agrobank with 41.8 trillion soums (9.1 percent), Uzpromstroybank with 35.5 trillion soums (7.7 percent), and Xalq Bank (People's Bank) with 30.9 trillion soums (6.7 percent).
Conversely, the smallest volume of deposits was recorded at Saderat Bank, standing at 51.3 billion soums. Modest figures were also registered at Open Bank with 129 billion soums, Madad Invest Bank with 238.2 billion soums, Poytaht Bank with 267.1 billion soums, and AVO Bank with 622.9 billion soums.
