Total loan portfolio of Uzbekistan banks reaches 636 trillion soums

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The total volume of loans extended by commercial banks in Uzbekistan reached 636 trillion soums as of 1 June 2026, according to report from the Central Bank.

Banks with state ownership issued 420.4 trillion soums, accounting for 66.1 percent of the total credit portfolio in the banking sector. The remaining commercial banks account for 215.5 trillion soums, or 33.9 percent.

The National Bank of Uzbekistan is the leader in terms of lending volume, with 107.5 trillion soums, which represents 16.9 percent of all loans in the banking system. It is followed by Agrobank with 90.9 trillion soums (14.3 percent), Uzpromstroybank with 61.2 trillion soums (9.6 percent), Asaka Bank with 40.2 trillion soums (6.3 percent), and Kapital Bank with 37.9 trillion soums (6 percent).

The smallest loan portfolio was recorded at Saderat Bank, standing at 9.2 billion soums. Small volumes of lending were also registered at Uzum Bank with 241.5 billion soums, Poytaht Bank with 370.5 billion soums, Madad Invest Bank with 593.4 billion soums, and Octobank with 606.9 billion soums.
