MES comments on incident near Abu Sakhiy market

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) has responded to reports circulating on social media regarding an alleged gas cylinder explosion on the territory of the "Abu Sakhiy" market.

According to the Tashkent City Emergency Situations Department, a report was received on 3 July 2026 regarding the rupture of a gas cylinder in a commercial truck on the Tashkent Ring Road in the capital's Chilonzor district.

Rescue units promptly arrived at the scene of the incident. Upon inspection, it was determined that the gas cylinder rupture occurred specifically inside a KamAZ model cargo vehicle.

According to data provided by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, no injuries or casualties were reported as a result of the incident.
