Uzbekistan, Japan discuss new investment projects
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Davron Vakhabov held a meeting with Shinichiro Nakamura, the Chargé d'Affaires and Counselor of the Embassy of Japan in Uzbekistan, to discuss bilateral economic cooperation.
The sides focused on preparations for an upcoming visit to Uzbekistan by a delegation from Keidanren (the Japan Business Federation), as well as prospects for further developing bilateral economic ties.
The discussions centered on expanding trade, economic, and investment interaction, alongside implementing joint projects in information technology, energy, finance, and logistics.
Special attention was paid to attracting advanced Japanese technologies and expertise to Uzbekistan in the fields of artificial intelligence, water management, food security, and the development of smart technologies.
Keidanren represents more than 1,600 major Japanese companies and over 100 industry associations, making it one of the most influential business organizations in Japan.
Following the meeting, the two parties agreed to ensure a high level of organization for the Keidanren delegation's visit, boost interaction between the business communities of Uzbekistan and Japan, and strengthen cooperation to implement promising joint projects.
