Uzbekistan introduces ban for refusing to hire person for criminal records

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- The Labor Code of Uzbekistan introduced a rule that prohibits the refusal to hire persons with a criminal record.

On 18 April, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the law “On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.

The law was passed by the Legislative Chamber on 26 March 2018 and approved by the Senate on 29 March 2018.

According to the document, the Labor Code was amended to introduce a ban for the refusal refusing to hire person for criminal records (except in cases stipulated by law).
