Uzbekistan, Portugal Discuss Expanding Bilateral Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov received the credentials of Portugal’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan Sara Martins.

During the meeting, the sides discussed further development of Uzbek-Portuguese relations, stepping up political dialogue and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation.

Saidov highlighted the importance of the Uzbek side’s visit to Lisbon in April 2026 for further developing bilateral relations, intensifying political dialogue and identifying new areas of cooperation.

Particular attention was paid to consistently implementing the agreements reached during the visit, strengthening economic diplomacy and expanding interregional ties.

Saidov wished Martins success in her diplomatic activities in Uzbekistan.
