Uzbekistan–Hungary Interparliamentary Cooperation Discussed in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva held talks with the Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary Agnes Forsthoffer on the sidelines of the Global Conference of Women Parliamentarians of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
The sides discussed the further development of multifaceted relations between Uzbekistan and Hungary, with a particular focus on strengthening interparliamentary cooperation and advancing mutually beneficial initiatives.
During the conversation, both parties noted the steady progress in bilateral relations and emphasized the importance of effectively utilizing existing potential.
Special attention was given to expanding dialogue between the parliaments of the two countries, strengthening cooperation between parliamentary friendship groups, developing ties among young parliamentarians, and enhancing interregional cooperation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Narbaeva invited representatives of the Hungarian parliament to participate in the 12th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, scheduled to take place on 4–6 September in Samarkand.
