Uzbekistan Has 124 Refrigerators per 100 Households
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — As of 1 January 2026, Uzbekistan had an average of 124 refrigerators and freezers per 100 households, according to household sample survey data from the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The figure has increased significantly over the past decades. Compared with 2000, the number of refrigerators and freezers per 100 households rose by 44.2%.
In 2000, there were an average of 86 refrigerators and freezers per 100 households. The figure increased to 91 in 2005 and reached 99 in 2010.
In 2015, the number of such household appliances exceeded 100 units, reaching 101 refrigerators or freezers per 100 households.
The figure rose to 107 units in 2020. Growth continued in subsequent years, reaching 114 units in 2021, 115 in 2022 and 118 in 2023.
In 2024, there were already 121 refrigerators or freezers per 100 households. By the end of 2025, the figure had reached 124 units.
Overall, the statistics show a steady increase in household access to refrigerators and freezers, from 86 units per 100 households in 2000 to 124 units by the beginning of 2026.
