Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov held an online meeting with representatives of EY, including Timothy Grosser, the firm’s partner and head of its collaboration with NVIDIA and Dell Technologies.
The parties discussed the development of Uzbekistan’s technology and innovation ecosystem, the Ministry of Digital Technologies said.
Particular attention was paid to artificial intelligence, emerging technologies and priority areas in which Uzbekistan could become competitive in global markets.
The participants also discussed attracting international technology companies and investment, expanding exports of technology services, and training qualified professionals for the sector.
Another focus was turning technology initiatives into tangible economic results, particularly through the creation of new, high-quality, well-paid jobs.
The ministry and EY expressed interest in continuing their cooperation and identifying practical steps. They will also explore opportunities for joint work with IT Park and Enterprise Uzbekistan.
According to the ministry, the cooperation is intended to support Uzbekistan’s long-term technology development goals.
