Uzbekistan Finds Lacetti with 376 Traffic Violations

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Authorities in Namangan have located a Chevrolet Lacetti that had been on the wanted list due to numerous unpaid traffic fines and significant outstanding debt.

According to the press service of the Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement, the vehicle was linked to 376 violations, with total arrears exceeding 330 million soums. A large portion of the fines had not been paid within the required deadlines, leading to enforcement proceedings.

Despite ongoing search efforts, the location of the vehicle had remained unknown for an extended period. It was eventually found during operational measures carried out by enforcement officers.

After the vehicle was located, it was established that it had previously been involved in a traffic accident and was in a condition close to being unfit for further use.

Enforcement procedures to recover the debt have now been initiated. The authorities are also considering selling the vehicle through auction.

The Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement reminded citizens that timely payment of fines and compliance with traffic rules are mandatory under the law and help avoid additional financial and legal consequences.
