Uzbekistan Establishes Telecommunications Regulatory Agency

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A Presidential Decree “On Measures to Improve the Telecommunications Regulatory System” has been adopted, establishing the Telecommunications Regulatory Agency.

The Agency will conduct monthly monitoring, at least once a month, to ensure that the quality of services provided by operators and providers complies with established requirements according to an approved plan.

The organization has financial and organizational independence and exercises authority within its competence when making decisions, while being accountable for its activities to the Cabinet of Ministers.
