Uzbekistan Draws with Kyrgyzstan in AFC U-23 Qualifiers

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Uzbekistan U-23 national football team ended their match against Kyrgyzstan in a draw during the qualifying stage of the AFC U-23 Championship.

Matches for Group E, which includes the Uzbek team, are being held in Bishkek. In the second round, the match between two teams ended 2-2.

Kyrgyzstan’s Beknaz Almazbekov opened the scoring in the first minute, but Rustam Turdimuradov equalized just ten minutes later. Behruzbek Askarov put Uzbekistan ahead in the 42nd minute, yet Arsen Sharshenbekov leveled the score again in the 56th minute.

Uzbekistan will play their final group match against Palestine on 9 September.
