Uzbekistan clinches victory over Burkina Faso

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uzbekistan warmed up for next Thursday’s clash against Syria with a 1-0 win over Burkina Faso in Tashkent.

Uzbekistan were without a number of first-team regulars, including Sardor Rashidov who was on AFC Champions League duty with El Jaish, but still prevailed thanks to a header from Beijing Guoan defender Egor Krimets.

Uzbekistan will remain in Tashkent for their opening World Cup qualifier against Syria, before heading to Doha for an away qualifier against Qatar.
