Uzbekistan attends WASIC 2026 automotive standards conference in China

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from Uzbekistan took part in the IV World Automotive Standards and Innovation Conference (WASIC–2026), held from May 27 to 29 in Shenzhen, China.

Specialists from the Uzbekistan Agency for Technical Regulation participated in the international forum and presented a report on the development of the sector and ongoing reforms in the country.

The conference focused on the introduction of international standards in the automotive industry, the improvement of quality management systems, workforce training, and the enhancement of production efficiency.

Particular attention was given to the practical application of the international automotive quality management standard IATF 16949, as well as modern approaches aimed at ensuring the sustainable development of the global automotive sector.

Representatives of Uzbekistan presented ongoing reforms in the fields of technical regulation, standardization, metrology, and automotive industry development. The discussions also covered prospects for expanding international cooperation and integrating advanced foreign experience.

During the event, the Uzbek delegation also familiarized itself with China’s advanced practices in automotive manufacturing, production digitalization, and standardization.

Uzbekistan’s participation in WASIC–2026 marked another step in strengthening international cooperation in technical regulation and the implementation of modern quality standards in the automotive industry.
