Uzbekistan announces 2 January as day-off

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed a resolution “On announcing 2 January 2015 as a day-off” on 26 December 2014.

The resolution said that in connection with celebration of New Year and create favourable conditions to resting of population announce Friday, 2 January 2015, as a day-off in Uzbekistan.

The document underlined that it is allowed to work of those organization, which cannot suspend production due to production-technical and other conditions, and rendering services to population in line with article 132 of the Labour Code f Uzbekistan.

The compensation and payment of works, during day-off, will be made in line with the article 157 of the Labour Code of Uzbekistan, the document added.
