Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov held a telephone conversation with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov.

The two sides confirmed the high level of Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan relations, based on the principles of friendship, good-neighborliness, and strategic partnership. According to Saidov, cooperation between the two countries continues to steadily strengthen across all key areas.

During the conversation, the ministers positively assessed the outcomes of the scientific and practical conference titled “Akhal-Teke Horse — a Symbol of Friendship of Peoples,” held in Uzbekistan from May 8 to May 10, as well as international equestrian events organized jointly by Uzbek and Turkmen sides with participation of foreign guests.

The heads of the foreign ministries said the competitions and cultural events served as an important platform for advancing humanitarian cooperation and strengthening fraternal ties between the peoples of both countries.

Special attention was also paid to the awarding of competition winners. It was noted with satisfaction that, in addition to numerous prizes, participants received high awards on behalf of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedow.
