Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On 12 June 2025, a series of events aimed at deepening trade, economic, and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Sultanate of Oman took place in Tashkent.
The central event of the official program was a meeting between the Ministers of Investment, Industry, and Trade of both countries. The talks focused on key areas of partnership, including expanding mutual trade, attracting investment, and advancing industrial cooperation.
During the fifth session of the Intergovernmental Commission, participants reviewed the status of current agreements and developed concrete measures to accelerate the implementation of joint projects. Practical aspects of collaboration, such as interagency coordination and business engagement mechanisms, received particular attention.
A business forum followed, bringing together representatives from over 50 companies from Uzbekistan and Oman. The event showcased investment projects and initiatives across various sectors, including information technology, education, food production, agriculture, and tourism. It provided a dynamic platform for idea exchange and establishing new business ties.
The forum concluded with B2B and B2G meetings, during which participants identified promising areas of cooperation and outlined steps to launch specific joint ventures.
The day’s activities culminated in the signing of the Protocol of the 5th Intergovernmental Commission Session, marking a significant milestone in Uzbekistan–Oman relations.
