Uzbekistan and Norway Discuss Expanding Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Sodiq Safaev held talks on April 15 with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Norway to Uzbekistan, Ms. Helen Sand Andresen.

The discussions focused on the current state and prospects for further development of bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Norway.

Special attention was given to elevating interparliamentary cooperation to a new level, sharing legislative experience, and strengthening dialogue between relevant parliamentary committees of both countries.

The sides also discussed the activation of political dialogue, expansion of trade, economic and investment cooperation, and the development of collaboration in green economy, digital technologies, education, and innovation.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties expressed readiness for the consistent and mutually beneficial development of bilateral cooperation.
