Man Arrested in Angren over South Korea Employment Scam
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A man suspected of fraud after promising an Uzbek citizen employment in South Korea has been detained in Angren while accepting US$5,900, according to the press service of the Department under the Prosecutor General's Office.
According to the agency, the suspect, identified as N.M., gained the trust of citizen Kh.A. and promised to assist him in securing employment in South Korea through alleged high-ranking acquaintances.
N.M. was caught red-handed at the moment of receiving the money.
A criminal case has been opened under Article 168 (Fraud) and Articles 28 and 211 (Complicity in Bribery) of the Criminal Code.
The criminal investigation is ongoing.
