Uzbekistan and Alabuga SEZ agree to expand employment opportunities

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Migration Agency and the Alabuga Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Tatarstan have signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at expanding employment opportunities for Uzbek nationals.

As part of a working visit, the agency's leadership met with Uzbek citizens currently employed at Alabuga enterprises. The delegation reviewed their living, dining, and working conditions. At present, 1,150 Uzbek workers are employed within the SEZ.

Following negotiations, both sides agreed to create an additional 10,000 jobs for specialists from Uzbekistan. The Migration Agency is set to announce a recruitment competition for these positions in the near future.
