Uzbekistan, Abdi Ibrahim Discuss Pharma Cooperation Projects

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Director of the Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Azizov, held a meeting with a delegation from Turkish pharmaceutical company Abdi Ibrahim to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation in the sector.

During the talks, the Uzbek side presented updates on ongoing reforms in the pharmaceutical sector, modernization of production infrastructure, and the implementation of international quality standards.

Special attention was given to the development of the Tashkent Pharma Park pharmaceutical cluster, also known as BioPharma City. The parties discussed opportunities for participation in joint initiatives and projects aimed at increasing the industry’s competitiveness.

Participants also exchanged views on prospects for further cooperation between relevant organizations of Uzbekistan and Türkiye in pharmaceutical manufacturing and the development of the broader pharmaceutical industry.

Following the meeting, both sides confirmed their interest in expanding mutually beneficial cooperation and continuing the practical implementation of joint projects.
